Went over the whole thing with 3M polishing compound & a random orbit. Still had a few places with ghosting, mainly due to the old maroon vinyl sort of bleeding through into the fiberglass. Putting the vinyl on is definitely the easiest part of the whole thing. All that's left now is to put a coat of wax on the rig. Thanks again for your help, and for a great service!
